Helping women through a combination of rehab and wellness to

overcome, prevent, and live well with pelvic health concerns.

Pelvic health physical therapy that is truly unique.

A different kind of care:

So many of us have been there - the outpatient PT clinic with the high school athletes exercising side-by-side with the 90 year old Granny who just had a hip replacement, neither of which have a licensed PT working one-on-one with them. There are four PTs wearing slacks & polos, doing notes on their computers while supervising patients. Maybe a rehab aide (who is a high school student) is taking people through their exercises while the PTs are with other patients. You’re seen for 30 minutes and then put on electrical stimulation, ice or heat, and given the dreaded HEP handout with generic exercises for home.

Even worse, you’ve been to pelvic PT and you laid on a table with a biofeedback device doing kegels. They told you they couldn’t treat you when you became pregnant. You came back postpartum with diastasis recti and you were told that you couldn’t lift anything or you’d injure yourself.

I’ve seen it. If you’re wrinkling your brow at this because you have no idea what I’m describing, consider yourself lucky. That is not the type of care that is provided here.

If you value individualized care and working with one PT through your entire plan of care, while also having the ability to continue PT beyond symptom resolution, you’ve found the right place. Here is what I promise:

  • I am not going to discharge because you haven’t had pain or leakage for 2 weeks. I am going to make sure that you get out of pain and consistently make progress towards your big, shiny goals.

  • If you are pregnant or recently postpartum, I’m certainly not going to tell you not to lift anything.

  • I’m going to ask you about your sleep, your food intake, and your stress levels.

  • This is a place where TMI does not exist and I won’t pass judgement on you for your choices.

  • I’m going to teach you a TON about your body (seriously, you’ll wonder why you didn’t learn this from anyone else).

  • I’m going to keep you around until we both feel comfortable with you going off on your own - but I’ll let you come back if you ever need to!

  • If I don’t think I’m the right fit for you, I’ll help you find someone who will be.

Dr. Brie has helped me so much already with chronic pain, mobility, and discomfort and I’m not even done with my course of visits yet. If you are considering PT, I’d highly recommend her! I look forward to my appointments and always leave feeling empowered to continue making progress with each visit.

In-home care:

Too many times I have heard women say they don’t have the time to address their pelvic health concerns. Maybe you have a newborn or a tight schedule, or maybe you just can’t find what you’re looking for within a reasonable distance from home. You don’t have to let those concerns prevent you from getting the care you deserve. Let me come to you! I will come to your home or office and bring all the treatment supplies that I need so that you can prioritize your health & wellness in the comfort & convenience of your own space. No need to load the kids into the car or find a sitter. Stop putting your own needs below those of others.

Clinical programs:

I have put together clinical treatment programs that provide a framework for working with two of my most common patient populations - pregnancy & postpartum, and prolapse. With this framework, you will know what the plan is and how we might get to the end goal, as well as see how other providers might fit into the picture.

Hands-on treatment + strength training + health coaching:

Traditional physical therapy can work for some people, but I firmly believe in getting people stronger. I want women to be strong because muscle is a predictor of longevity and remaining independent, metabolically healthy, and confident. I also believe that hands-on care can have amazing benefits for our mind and body. I like to blend the two approaches to provide the best of both worlds to my patients.

Health coaching is a skillset that I acquired because I believe that each person knows themselves best and holds the answers to their own healing journey. I am not here to be your boss - I am here as your partner and guide. We will sit and discuss all the strategies and options that might be supportive of your goals and you will decide what seems like the best place to start.

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Brie to help me prepare for the birth of my first child. I was so nervous, but with the tools and exercises she has provided me with, I feel confident moving forward. There have been areas in my body that have had problems that should have been exacerbated during pregnancy, but have instead been the best they have ever been. I highly recommend having Dr. Brie as one of the best parts of your care team in pregnancy and beyond.

I’m not sure I have the words to accurately describe just how wonderful Dr. Brie is. She treats you like a real person. She listens, empathizes, but most importantly teaches you. I never feel like I’m “crazy” when I explain to her what or how I’m feeling. She checks in with your comfort level, and makes you feel safe, and literally in good hands.
I couldn’t be more grateful than to have her as part of my healing journey. I highly recommend her to anyone who desires a provider that truly wants you feeling your best.

Dr. Brie Groleau is absolutely amazing! She makes you feel so comfortable and is very thorough with her explanations and throughout the whole appointment process. I have learned so much about my body and how it works. I am more self aware and am able to understand what works best for my healing process.
